Cross-posting on Tumblr?

Does anyone know a way to tag posts I make to automatically post on another tumblog? As you may know, I’m a contributor to Internets We Found, and some of the internets I find I want to share across both blogs.

I’ve got a few suggestions after the break.

Do I reblog myself and increase my tumblarity (vain, I know, and also really clumsy)? This would make it pretty easy to follow the path:

  1. Post an internet on blog.zacharylew.is.
  2. Reblog it on Internets We Found.
  3. Follow the comment and note thread on the initial post.

Alternatively, I could probably (and I’d definately want to talk with psoplayer about the logistics of this endeavor), I could use clever tagging and RSS to achieve cross-blog posting:

  1. Tag the posts I want to share with something like “iwf”.
  2. Have an RSS feed for any post with that tag.
  3. Automatically post anything on that feed onto Internets We Found.
  4. Watch two separate comments and reblogs, but not do as much work.

What is the best practice? Is this something I should shy away from? Am I trying to be too greedy? I believe I have my DISQUS comments working, so feel free to… eh… disqus.
